Seltek UK provide full repair and maintenance services for the General Automation range of 16-bit minicomputer systems. Full and original documentation for these models is held by Seltek along with dedicated test rigs and diagnostic software. Systems can be supported of virtually any vintage and in any part of the world. Models covered include :

As well as having the ability to repair faulty units we also hold large stocks of new and refurbished parts for GA systems. And if there is a problem with GA operating system or utility software we can usually locate an expert who can help. Service can be provided by return and repair or module exchange. On site service is on a call-out basis or by means of a maintenance contract which can include regular planned maintenance visits where appropriate. Customers can be found in all corners of the world and distance is no object for the provision of our services.

GA computers were widely used through the 1980's and early 1990's for a wide range of industrial and telecommunications applications. In the automotive industry they were at the heart of rolling road test beds, vehicle electrical test systems, emissions analysis systems and shop floor data capture systems. In the steel industry they were used for process control and sequencing in both steel-making plants and processing and converting operations. Many sophisticated machine tools used General Automation minicomputers as their controllers. And they also were installed as the heart of many of the world's telex exchanges. Although their technology is obsolescent there are still large numbers of these 16-bit devices in use around the world. Partly because despite their age they still work and partly because they form part of many very expensive systems with a long life due to the high cost of replacement.
